Welcome To

Totally Irish Gifts was borne out of our own frustrations in trying to source gifts made in Ireland. We wanted to buy gifts for friends and family while supporting the buy Irish campaign. But that wasn’t so easy as a lot of gifts while designed in Ireland, are made elsewhere. We hope we have helped solve that problem and Totally Irish Gifts became a reality in October 2012 – an Irish store for authentic Irish gifts made in Ireland. We are a retail partner with the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland.

Mishnóc have been trading in Galway since 2011. Our simple ethos of providing well made leather products which represent excellent value is at the core of our business. We source leather products from around the world and also manufacture our own range under the mishnóc brand here in Co-Galway.

In 2014 we opened our online website and we love the access to customers that the online world brings and have embraced it fully.

Pickled Pom Pom is a small design studio founded in late 2018 by Laura Dempsey. With a background in design for high street childrenswear, Laura designs and illustrates her range of cards and prints from a small home studio in Co. Kildare. From the beginning the goal has been to spread a little joy, light and hope via her paper goods. Laura’s greatest inspiration (also her greatest critics) are her three young children and her bearded other half!

When I create a card or frame, careful consideration is given to the recipient’s hobbies and interests. All of my products are made using the highest quality materials and design. A personalised greeting card or frame from me is a keepsake for any occasion with many being framed by the recipient.

PAPERBEAR – Paperbear.ie was setup by Katie and Aaron Dowling in 2013. While on a trip to Spain I came across some very simple pop up cards in a store. I loved the idea and could see huge potential with them. Katie and I decided to combine our skills and we set up Paperbear.ie to sell both pop up and illustrated cards. We began with 3 designs and the reaction from our customers was over whelming. We began to work on more and more ideas with help from feedback and recommendations from our customers. We now have hundreds of cards in our collection.

BOLD BUNNY – BOLD BUNNY is the brainchild of me, Warren Keeper and Bunny in Chief, Ali Jones — I design a range of cheeky original Irish greeting cards & prints on sustainable stock for retail and wholesale outlets. With my background in graphic design, quality print and precision are at the core. The greeting cards are printed on a premium uncoated paper, made from 100% ECF eucalyptus pulp making it environmentally friendly, it has a rough organic feel, both to the touch and the eye. And since last November, 2019 – I no longer get anything packed in single-use plastic… All prints and cards since then have been packaged with recycled envelopes and biodegradable cello bags.

CARD GALLERY – Card Gallery is one of Ireland’s longest established Greeting Card Shops, trading from Grafton Street, Dublin, for over 30 years. We have an extensive selection of contemporary high quality cards, gifts, helium balloons and partyware. In-store we have a balloon artist ready to make your perfect balloon bouquet for any occasion. More recently we have launched our online store so you can now browse our collections from the comfort of your own home and take advantage of our speedy home delivery service. Thanks for visiting and we look forward to seeing you in-store or online!

BROOKWOOD POTTERY – Brookwood Pottery was set up in 2012 by potter Elaine Fallon. In 2017 Elaine established a design shop and studio in Santry where she teaches ceramics and provides pottery membership to people who want to create their own work. The shop has developed to include work by over 20 makers Elaine admires and includes textiles, print, homewares and jewellery.

SARAH MCKENNA – My pottery & homewares have layers of messages created using patterns and text that subtly say little things people want to tell each other without saying it out loud! Everyone wants to give a gift which makes people happy, little reminders of joy once known. So I impress text into the clay pieces – inspiring quotes, poetry and sentimental lyrics to tug at the heartstrings and make people smile. The patterns and colours knead memories and emotions into contemporary functional forms. This nostalgia transforms an everyday object – to a special gift, cherished today and lovingly preserved as an heirloom.

WILD BIRD STUDIO – Designer, Maker and Educator for a New Stained Glass Generation. Welcome to WildBird, a stained glass studio like no other. Glass is alchemy, art, attitude. Clear and coloured. Smooth and sparkling. Raw and reflective. At WildBird I craft stained glass for a new generation, drawing on nature, art, history and light. I am a designer, a maker, an educator. Bespoke panels. Geometric terrariums. Victorian botanical frames. Minimalist lighting. Vibrant jewellery: Choose your favourite piece. Gift a friend. Join a workshop.

AIL AND EL – Ail+El design and create contemporary Irish homeware. Inspired by urban living and street art, Ail+El fuse the industrial qualities of concrete with bright geometric patterns to create a vibrant range of products. Each piece is hand cast in concrete and individually finished with unique patterns by Aileen in her workshop next to the Phoenix Park in Dublin.

DUSTY BOY – Dusty Boy is an award winning paper brand based in the heart of Ireland’s vibrant countryside founded and owned by husband and wife duo Justin Campbell and Kate Rose Crean. Justin’s meticulous eye for detail and design coupled with Kates creativity and vision, make Dusty Boy what it is today – an exciting business that is passionate, expressive but most of all beautiful! Each piece of work is lovingly created and hand finished from their home studio in Wexford, where they create a product and provide a service that they are incredibly proud to share.

LOUGH GUR POTTERY – My carving techniques are inspired by the carved surfaces of the artefacts uncovered at Lough Gur. Each piece I make is handmade with love, perfectly imperfect, with evidence of my hands impressed on the clay and etched on the surface. One of my favourite aspects of the process is the surface decoration. I imagine peoples of the past took their time in decorating their favourite objects and I too love to spend the time hand painting and carving the surface designs so that each piece is truly unique.

MATT JONES WOOD TURNER – I design beautiful handmade wooden items for the home. I only uses ethically sourced Irish wood such as fallen beech, walnut, ash and oak trees to make my collection of handmade salad bowls, salt mills, pepper grinders, commissioned items and sculptural art pieces. I work from my workshop which is based in County Sligo, the West of Ireland surrounded by hills, woods and the wild Atlantic sea. This dramatic landscape plays a major part in my work.

CRIOSTAL – Criostal na Rinne is a hand cut crystal studio workshop situated in Ireland’s Ancient East in the picturesque Irish-speaking area of An Rinn, the Waterford Gaeltacht. Eamonn Terry, a master craftsman glasscutter of over 50 years experience, started his career with Waterford Crystal before establishing Criostal na Rinne in 1987, producing Irish crystal of breathtaking quality and beauty. From our small, family-run workshop in An Rinn, Co. Waterford, we craft precise hand cut crystal products for discerning customers around the world. The products we make are stories made physical. More than just useful objects, they create meaningful connection with our rich culture, history, nature and language.

SIMPLE THINGS – Simple-Things began with a few birthday cards for friends, I had a lot of cute and funny phrases I had gathered in my head over time. From song lyrics, quotes from friends to random overheard sayings. I needed an outlet for them, and started printing them as birthday cards. The reaction they received was phenomenal. They were just simple phrases, but evoked something in people that I could not have anticipated. I began testing them at markets around the city, there is nothing better than hearing a group of friends howling laughing saying things like ‘Oh My God- That is So You’ or ‘This is totally so-and-so, I have to get it for her’

KINSALE LEATHER – Slow is good. We make by hand, slowly. Our workshop is a happy place that can sustainably produce limited quantities each month. We hope these concerted efforts on our part to slow down consumption will increase your satisfaction of owning and loving a piece of Kinsale Leather.
